Hours: 7.5 hours a day

Mandatory Requirement

  • Has work experience using the OmegaPS software in a military ILS context within the last fifteen (15) years from the bid closing date.

Rated Technical Criteria

  • Should possess formal training on OmegaPS Software, provided by Pennant International Group PLC or authorized representatives.
  • Should possess a minimum of 12 months of demonstrated experience in Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Experience with ILS tools and processes, i.e., practical working skills with OmegaPS in a DND GEIA standard context, including hand-on knowledge transfer experience to employees/resources in using OmegaPS and producing advanced analysis
  • Should possess a minimum of 12 months of demonstrated experience in Logistic Support Analysis Record (LSAR) including data rationalization involving the GEIA-STD-0007B standards, the RCN business rules, and Product Support Data Elements Requirements (PSDER)
  • Should possess demonstrated experience in Equipment Registration Number (ERN) / Equipment Family Tree (EFT) Support to analyze and recommend EFT configuration and, create Functional Fit Definitions in OmegaPS based on the Naval EFT Development which will serve as a basis for managing ERN variances for multiple ships,
  • Should possess a minimum of 12 months of demonstrated experience in Initial Provisioning Conference (IPC) Support to analyze and verify provisioning data for cataloguing and codification correctness and completeness in accordance with DND policy and procedures
  • Should possess a minimum of 12 months of demonstrated experience in Data Transition and Migration Support, i.e.: reviewing, maintaining and updating the LSARs in DND OmegaPS Database; creating a data migration workbook and migration master data set, and; assisting DND with the migration of master data to SAP

Background

The Joint Support Ship (JSS) project is a highly complex project that requires an integrated support program bringing together DND and Industry related engineering and maintenance support processes to meet the life cycle requirements of the JSS vessels.

A key tenet of a highly integrated in-service support program is to ensure the quality and completeness of the LSAR deliverables utilized by the program to facilitate transition and migration activities into the DND enterprise systems.

As the in-service support Contractor, Thales will provide a complete, steady-state ILS solution for this fleet, and the Project Management Office (PMO) is expected to deliver the initial data set required as a starting point for In-Service Support.

Requirement

Firm Positions: The specific requirement is for the provision of services, of two (2) SENIOR Integrated Logistics Support specialists.

Scope

The two “SENIOR” Integrated Logistics Support Specialists must:

  • Use and apply RCN ILS tools and processes;
  • Use the OmegaPS Software and apply the GEIA series of standards;
  • Generate review reports on individual LSAR files, as required by the Technical Authority (TA);
  • Use a reporting tool to capture written comments, review progress, status, and maintain accuracy through monthly updates, and as needed basis;
  • Transfer progressively to DND employees hands-on knowledge in using OmegaPS and producing advanced analysis in the DND GEIA standard context; and
  • Provide any other support activities linked to the scope described herein and, as requested by the TA.
