Job Description: Mansour Canadian Rail Track Services Inc. provides an extensive variety of track services to our customers while striving to leave quality work behind. Our services include but are not limited to; comprehensive quoting & inspections of the track, preparing annual maintenance program plans, providing required track materials, and performing necessary maintenance needed throughout the industry. We are currently looking for a motivated Signal & Communications Maintainer to join our team. Duties and Responsibilities: Ensuring safety is a priority to self, coworkers, the public, and the assets of the company and following policies and procedures set out by the company Installation, wiring, assembly, and maintenance of railway signals and communications equipment Install, examine, replace, or repair electrical wiring, receptacle, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fibre-optic and coaxial assemblies, lighting fixtures, and other electrical components Perform regular inspections, testing of operations, and preventative maintenance on various electronic and mechanical S&C equipment Diagnose problems and repair all types of S&C electronic and mechanical systems. Use a wide variety of hand tools, on-track high rail equipment, and test instruments Work as part of a team performing heavy labour related to railway signaling, construction, and maintenance Responds to emergency repair situations during and after regular working hours sometimes on holidays and weekends Compliance with track rules and instructions according to CROR Communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and managers Qualifications and Requirements: Ontario driver's license with a clean driver's abstract. High school or GED Must be able to pass all required training, background check, and drug & alcohol testing. Strong aptitude for the electrical/electronic field Ability to work independently or in a team setting Ability to lift and carry up to 50lbs Responds to emergency repair situations during and after regular working hours, sometimes on holidays, weekends, and on-call. Must be in good physical condition to perform job duties outdoors in all types of weather conditions. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Familiarity with Canadian Rail Operating Rules; Current Certification is an asset Experience working in a railway environment an asset Ability to provide clear written and verbal communications Strong commitment to company health and safety Mansour Canadian Rail Track Services Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
