We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Service Technician with expertise in SolidWorks to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to thrive in a customer-facing role. As a Field Service Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing technical support, installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting services for our products, with a focus on SolidWorks applications.

Responsibilities

  • Technical Support:
    • Provide expert technical assistance to customers, both remotely and on-site, regarding the implementation, operation, and troubleshooting of SolidWorks software and related systems.
    • Collaborate with customers to understand their unique requirements and challenges, offering customized solutions and recommendations.
  • Installation and Configuration:
    • Conduct on-site installations and configurations of SolidWorks software, ensuring proper integration with existing systems and hardware.
    • Verify system requirements and compatibility to guarantee a seamless user experience.
  • Training:
    • Deliver comprehensive training sessions to end-users on SolidWorks functionality, best practices, and troubleshooting techniques.
    • Create training materials and documentation to enhance user understanding and proficiency.
  • Maintenance and Upgrades:
    • Perform routine maintenance on SolidWorks installations, ensuring software is up-to-date and operating at optimal performance levels.
    • Collaborate with the engineering and development teams to implement software upgrades and patches.
  • Troubleshooting:
    • Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to SolidWorks software, hardware, and system integrations.
    • Provide timely and effective solutions to minimize downtime and optimize system performance.
  • Documentation:
    • Maintain accurate and detailed records of service activities, including installation reports, service tickets, and customer communication.
    • Collaborate with the technical support team to contribute to knowledge base articles and FAQs.
Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Field Service Technician, with a focus on SolidWorks.
  • In-depth knowledge of SolidWorks software and its applications in mechanical design and engineering.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective customer interaction.
  • Ability to travel to customer sites for on-site support and installations.
  • Certification in SolidWorks is a plus.
