Head Kitchen Chef

This role presents a fulfilling career path for someone capable of independently managing all facets of food preparation and operations, from menu planning and pricing to supply procurement and culinary innovation.
Oversees and manages food and beverage preparation to uphold top-tier quality standards.
Executes food procurement and monitors inventory levels to uphold cost efficiency.
Organizes regular workplace inspections and conducts staff training, promptly addressing any incidents.
Maintains meticulous records of food-related metrics such as costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
Ensures continuous stocking of kitchen stations before and during service hours.
Handles employee scheduling and performance by providing training, coaching, evaluations, and mentoring.
Equips all staff with the necessary skills to meet company benchmarks in food quality, preparation, and customer service.
3 - 5 years of relevant experience in food service management or a comparable blend of education and practical background
~ Proficient in the proper operation and upkeep of major kitchen equipment
~ Competent in MS Excel, word processing, email, and scheduling software
~ Flexibility to work all shifts as required
~ Holds provincial certifications for alcohol service and food preparation
~ Knowledgeable about safety protocols and fire prevention/evacuation procedures
