Job Description: Quran Academy Administrator 

Position: Quran Academy Administrator, Part-Time

Location: ISNA Canada - ICC (2200 South Sheridan Way, Mississauga ON L5J 2M4)

Timings: Mondays - Thursdays from 5:00 PM - 8:30 PM 

Term: January 22, 2024 to August 31, 2024 

Job Summary: ISNA Canada is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Part-Time Administrator for our Quran Academy, responsible for overseeing program operations and serving as the primary escalation point. This role involves strategic planning and hands-on execution of various program initiatives. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional organizational skills and a proactive approach to program administration.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the registration process for each term. This includes creating registration forms, tracking payments, managing class allocations, and resolving any registration issues. 
  • Efficiently manage and respond to emails about the Quran Program, maintaining clear and professional communication.
  • Act as a point of contact, promptly addressing inquiries and providing assistance to teachers, students, and parents.
  • Maintain open and effective communication with students' parents or guardians to keep them informed about updates. 
  • Conduct regular inventory checks for Qaida books and Mushafs and facilitate sales transactions.
  • Report to Quran Academy Administrator Lead. 
  • Work closely with teachers, Principal and Quran Academy Administrator Lead assisting in administrative responsibilities and to ensure consistent and comprehensive education delivery.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students during Quran Program hours.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in administrative work is preferred 
  • Excellent interpersonal skills 
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with students, parents, and fellow staff members.
  • Strong organizational abilities with the capacity to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Ability to adapt to changes and handle unexpected situations with composure.
  • Flexibility in working hours and tasks, as per the dynamic needs of the academy.
  • Patient, compassionate, and able to provide support to teachers and students. 
  • Committed to creating an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
  • Possess the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • First-Aid/CPR training is preferred. 

Requirements: 

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Must be available on Mondays - Thursdays from 5:00 PM - 8:30 PM 
  • Must be able to effectively communicate (verbal and written) in English 
  • Must be legally eligible to work in Canada and meet all necessary employment requirements.
  • Must obtain a valid Vulnerable Sector Screening or equivalent background check, as necessary for working with children in an educational setting in the province of Ontario. 
  • Must attend an administrator training provided by ISNA Canada
