What You Will Do

You will be the primary technical consultant responsible for increasing usage of Altair solutions for electronic system design, with a strong focus on high-frequency electromagnetics applications, with customers and prospects within the Aerospace and Defense Industry vertical for the EMEA region.

  1. Work closely with account management to increase usage at Aerospace and Defense accounts.
  2. Identify and prioritize strategic long- and short-term activities to support account growth.
  3. Act as specialist in the use and application of all Altair products with focus on EM and Electronics Solutions.
  4. Analyse technical needs, requirements, and current engineer workflows of customers.
  5. Develop relationships and work with customers to qualify opportunities and propose solutions meeting the customer requirements.
  6. Be viewed by the customer as their primary point of contact for all technical activities including presales, technical support, consulting, and training.
  7. Coordinate pre- and post-sales support for Altair products, including evaluation, benchmarking, proof of concepts, and training in addition to performing some of these tasks within the EM product offering.
  8. Work with development teams to ensure customer needs are met and help prioritize and establish business needs for additional functionality.
  9. Manage the relationship with local experts and their involvement with A&D customers.

What You Will Need

Qualifications

At least a Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or related subject

A thorough understanding of electromagnetic concepts is required

Excellent presentation skills

Aptitude for solving engineering problems

Willingness and ability to travel to customer sites across Europe.

Preferred Experience and Requirements

Experience and understanding of antenna design / placement, RCS, radio / radar coverage, and EMC/EMI applications

5+ years of industrial experience

5+ years of experience with simulation tools like Feko, CST or HFSS or XFDTD

Ability to collaborate with all levels of technical users and management

Soft Skills

Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills
