Title: DC TechnicianLocation: Toronto, CADuration: 6 MonthsIntermediate Data Center resource must have a comprehensive understanding of overarching data center facilities and operations and shall perform activities required to implement changes to data center equipment. Such activities shall include: § Asset Management Control (e.g. asset tag). ITAM & ServiceNow.§ Updating ServiceNow CMDB with asset install or removal DC information.§ Problem, Incident and Change Management Processes.§ Collaborate with TD ITS Operations or TD Engineering to troubleshoot cabling issues, server power recycles, server failures.§ DC tours for identifying and reporting on server red or amber lights.§ Equipment Implementation/Placement (e.g. rack/stack/unrack/decommissioning) based on predefined placement pattern;§ Build sheet creation and review.§ Low level design for cable infrastructure augmentation & maintenance. Providing requests for panel augmentation to TD DCS Engineering.§ Send requests to TD Enterprise Capacity management for Purchase Orders.§ Floor plan modifications: coordination of TD DCS Engineering design and installers for free-standing equipment or new cabinet rows.§ Vendor Management: Coordination of (IMAC, cable technicians, cleaners- above floor) and escorting/providing guidance within the data center facility.§ Enforce policy and standards for Data Center access (Unrestricted only), ServiceNow Tickets must be initiated for approved access requests.§ Coordinate Disposal: E-Waste, Equipment shipping & receiving.§ Maintain stock levels of cables, and other required consumables; and§ Acting as remote DC Operations for global DC’s, CER’s and proximity locations.§ Break-Fix Engagements (On-Call)· Provide hardware break-fix services at the 2 data Center locations identified in Section 3.0.· Service Level Objective of 1 hour for acknowledgement of request · Service Level Objective of 4 hrs on-site response time· Ticketed break-fix engagements during 9am-5pm Monday-Friday will be handled through BAU IMAC process. · On call resource will be engaged via phone\email if dispatch is required, or if can be deferred for next business day .· Ad-hoc T&M rates will be applicable for services that fall out of steady state business hours § For the 2 Data Center locations identified in Section 3.0 the Intermediate data center resource shall perform the following in the province of Ontario only;§ The Data Centre Support Team will report directly to TD managers and day to day responsibilities will be dictated by TD.§ The Data Centre Support Team will be required to work regular business day hours (8-5pm, local time, excluding applicable statutory holidays), and provide on-call afterhours support on a rotating schedule (during the term of the agreement), alternating responsibility with other DCS team members. Junior data center network resource will provide the following Services: § Warehouse Inventory Management. § Work closely with Capacity Acquisition team to track all deliveries. § Receive network hardware at TD Data Centers. § Ensure shipping and receiving tickets are closed as hardware is received. § Place hardware in designated storage areas at BDC & SOC. § Update the Configuration Management Database records for the following: § Create new configuration items as hardware is received. § Hardware reservations § Monitor inventory levels. § Network Build sheet and Install.§ Work closely and assist TD’s Network Build team. Coordinating change records, remote checks.§ Collect hardware models from storage rooms within BDC and SOC. § Asset tagging. § Update CI state and location for hardware taken out of inventory.§ Install components within switch chassis. (upgrade as required, do not need to be certified)§ Hardware power up and DOA checks. (perform visual\quality assurance of device)§ Pre-loading iOS and configs (switches and routers). (Within staging\lab areas, do not need to be certified)§ Arrange hardware shipments between TD Data Centers. § Arrange shipments of hardware Disposals. § Network hardware installs in data center cabinets. (Only within lab\staging area, on the floor it would be DCS \ TD IMAC team \ Guild™)§ Cabling may be required. (Only within lab\staging area)
