The Michener Institute of Education at UHN is Canada’s only post-secondary institution devoted exclusively to the applied health sciences professions. In January 2016 the Michener Institute integrated with the University Health Network, Canada’s largest and highly esteemed hospital network know for research-intensive. The CVP program is the largest and one of the very few programs in Canada training cardiovascular perfusionists. In 2021, Michener was approved by the government of Ontario to offer a Master of Science degree in Cardiovascular Perfusion to graduates – marking a historic achievement positioning Michener as the trailblazer in offering thefirst program in Canada to offer a graduate credential in this field. Although the primary responsibility of the successful candidate will be to teach in the CVP Program, there may be opportunities to be engaged in clinical work and research at UHN.
