Position Overview

We are seeking a creative, hard-working individual who is driven to advance their skill set in

a dynamic and innovative environment. The successful candidate will possess a strong mechanical aptitude, have the willingness to learn, and show an ability to execute design standards effectively.

Responsibilities

The position will involve carrying out the following tasks, and includes coordinating with a team of engineers and technicians, to assist with:

  • Review and analyze mechanical/ HVAC drawings from various engineering firms;
  • Create detailed construction drawings and specifications;
  • Create building energy models by effectively modeling building HVAC systems;
  • Conducting field surveys to assess existing conditions and construction progress;
  • Writing reports and supporting documentation for project submissions;
  • Coordinating with other engineers and clients (i.e. architects, construction managers);
  • Conducting construction administration;
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Have experience in HVAC design and CAD drawings;
  • Experience in building energy modeling is an asset;
  • Possess a technical diploma from a post-secondary institution;
  • Familiarity with the National Building Code, CSA & ASHRAE Standards;

  • Maintain a high level of accuracy in preparing and entering information.
  • Write and communicate professionally and have knowledge of all MO Suites.
  • Work well independently with minimal supervision or in a team setting.
  • Work under pressure and complete multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Communicate with customers, employees, and third parties.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
