Systems Technician

-The Systems Technician is responsible for providing technical support for workstation hardware and software. This includes installing, configuring, troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining various workstation technologies in a corporate environment.

**Technical Skills**:

- Proficient in troubleshooting issues on Windows and MacOS
- Ability to Install, configure and resolve hardware issues with Desktops, Laptops, Printers and peripherals.
- Set up and troubleshoot basic network configurations, including IP addressing, DHCP, DNS, routers, switches, and cabling
- Strong problem-solving skill to find and resolve hardware and software issues efficiently remotely and on-site.
- Ability to work independently
- Knowledge and experience in remote desktop tools such as Sophos Connect and Sonicwall Netextender are considered a plus
- Adherence to security protocols and awareness of cybersecurity best practices when dealing with hardware and software configurations
- Implement and troubleshoot backup solutions and aid with data recovery processes
- Provide support for smartphones, tablets and other mobile devices, including configuration and troubleshooting.
- Manage and troubleshoot Active Directory issues, including user accounts, group policies and permissions.
- Experience with E-mail systems (e.g., Microsoft 365, Gmail, Microsoft Exchange)
- Proficient in performing hardware upgrades, including memory, hard drives, graphics cards, etc.
- Knowledge of cable management best practices for a clean and organized setup.

**Experience**:

- Education: Certificate or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field preferred.
- Preferred Information Technology Certifications. (e.g., CompTIA A+, Network +. Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate)
- 2-4 Years Experience providing end user workstation hardware and software support.
