Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Within a team environment, this position will perform the following responsibilities:

Donor Relations and coordinate the acceptance and dissemination of in-kind donations (50%)

Maintain inventory of in-kind donations, products and equipment located in the Chatsworth Warehouse (25%)

Support business operations (25%)

Job Specifications

Minimum Required

  • Education : Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent years of education/training in business, operations, fund development, communications, or related field.
  • Experience: Three years experience, composed of fundraising, donor relations, procurement, business operations, inventory, and/or project management. Experience in the above areas may be demonstrated simultaneously in prior positions.
  • Technical Requirements :
    • Intermediate proficiency in Office 365, Outlook, Word, and Excel.
    • Experience utilizing fund development, donor tracking, or similar database a plus (i.e., Blackbaud, Salesforce, Bloomerang, etc.).
    • Ability to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner and gather and systematically analyze information.
    • Basic project management and reporting.
  • Travel : 5% of time traveling to other offices. This position is expected to occasionally travel to CCRC’s offices throughout Los Angeles and San Bernardino County. Some nights and weekend work may be required. Staff members driving on behalf of CCRC may choose to drive a CCRC vehicle or own vehicle and must meet requirements to be an approved driver including holding and maintaining current auto insurance, current California Driver’s License and DMV clearance required.
  • Work Schedule : Full time, Monday – Friday standard working hours.
  • Work Environment: Hybrid, on site at Chatsworth Warehouse three days per week

We have doubled in size over the past 10 years. We provide child development and early education, workforce development opportunities, child care financial assistance, Head Start preschool and Early Head Start services and more for close to 50,000 parents, children, and child care providers each month in Northern Los Angeles County, including Antelope Valley, and the entirety of San Bernardino County, including an office in Victorville, serving a total geographic area of 22,500 square miles.

About Us

Child Care Resource Center (CCRC) assists close to 50,000 parents, children, and child care providers each month in Northern Los Angeles County and the entirety of San Bernardino County serving a total area of 22,500 square miles. Since 1976, CCRC has been managing programs to assist with issues such as finding and selecting child care, child care financial assistance, school readiness, home visiting, and research and program evaluation. Children and families benefit from these programs, allowing parents to go to work and attend school, contribute to the economy and strengthen their families and the community. CCRC's early care & education specialists offer parents and child care professionals assistance ranging from finding child care and child development ages & stages to marketing child care businesses and CPR training and certification.

CCRC operates and oversees Head Start Birth-5 programs for a total of 3,312 children. These programs promote school readiness and family engagement to ensure a healthy development of children and their families. Children benefit from a high quality preschool education as well as medical and dental exams. Through CCRC’s literacy campaign “What a Difference a Book Makes,” we have collected 800,000 age-appropriate books. It is the agency’s belief that the cognitive benefits of literacy are immeasurable and have a large impact on the ability of an economy to generate and sustain wealth.
