This is a safety-sensitive position, the successful candidate(s) will be required to successfully complete mandatory pre-employment drug and alcohol testing to comply with SaskPower’s Fit for Duty Policy.
Supervise, coach and train staff and monitor and participate in staff performance evaluation
•Proactively anticipate potential problems, identify core issues and draw accurate conclusions to resolve
•Coordinate and implement departmental strategies, employee work plans, schedules, coaching, on-going feedback, performance reviews and professional development
•Provide departmental leadership, promote teamwork and initiate staff development and performance objective management in order to develop and sustain a high level of employee and departmental performance
•Participate in day-to-day work activities, including administrative and communication functions
•Lead the development, implementation and maintenance of processes, standards and procedures including training delivery and support
•Make recommendations to improve employee work performance, and improve efficiency, effectiveness and quality of service
•Adhere to and enforce applicable safety and environmental practices, standards, regulations and corporate commitments
•Ability to supervise and foster a team environment to obtain maximum performance from staff engaged in a variety of assignments
•Excellent computer skills with proficiency in the use of the corporations standard software
•This position falls within the scope of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW), Local 2067.
