Position Overview
The Senior Accountant will report directly to the Controller and will be responsible for managing all things financial for a specific warehouse location. Whether it is completing month end procedures, recording entries in QuickBooks, paying vendor invoices, sending out invoices to customers or completing ad hoc reporting, you will be the first line of support for the Controller. The finance team’s primary focus is preparing timely, monthly financial statements for the CFO, so we are interested in hiring individuals who are organized, have strong time management and communication skills, think critically, analytically and are willing to put in the extra effort as required.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Prepare timely and accurate month end financials (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow)
  • Full Cycle Accounting Procedures (Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Accounting and Reconciliations)
  • Cash planning and banking activities
  • Assist with Annual Audit procedures
  • Prepare ad hoc reporting
  • Interact with management, customers and vendors

About You

  • CPA Accounting Designation
  • Proficient in QuickBooks/QuickBooks online software
  • Intermediate to Advanced with Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, Formulas, etc.)
  • 3+ years of relevant experience ideally in logistics, transportation or manufacturing industries
  • You are detail oriented, organized, have effective time management, have excellent communication, analytical, and roll up the sleeve attitude
  • Work with a sense of purpose and urgency by demonstrating the ability to shift priorities to accomplish objectives
  • Learn quickly and are motivated to apply new knowledge
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
