Our client is a well-established company in the precast concrete industry. They are looking for a Civil Engineering Coordinator to join their Guelph office on a permanent full-time basis in the office.The successful candidate will process and manage incoming projects from design, material takeoff, production and quality control. ResponsibilitiesProject assessment including contract reviews and rough-cut demand assessments and project planning.Communications directly with our Customers and Sales RepresentativesMaterials takeoffsProject configurationProduct design assessmentsSpecial materials specification and orderingTranslation of product design information to non-technical staffProduct Inspection support for Quality Assurance DepartmentProvide internal and external technical support.Engineering record keepingMay participate in simple drafting, detailing and preparing fabrication drawings.QualificationsDiploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural EngineeringCertified Engineering Technologist (CET) designation is an asset.Proficient in Microsoft OfficeKnowledge of Titan OTS system will be an asset.Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorksAbility to respond quickly in a dynamic and changing environment.Ability to effectively communication both verbally and in writingAbility to prioritize and manage conflicting demands.Demonstrated time management skills.High level of integrity and work ethic
