Monte Design is a leader in the furniture market. Our commitment to great design and sustainable manufacturing allows us to be a leader in the high-end furniture industry.

We are looking for an organized and motivated customer service/administrative assistant to join our team.

You are perfect for this role if you enjoy working with customers and possess exceptional organization skills. You are highly adaptable, dynamic, and are eager to take on the different challenges and tasks. You will dive deep into our furniture products to learn them inside and out. This position is part-time and will work at our Toronto office 9am-5pm for 3 days a week. Flexible on choosing the days of the week.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist customers by answering customer questions and providing information about Monte Design products.
  • Answer and direct phone calls
  • Provide exceptional customer service through online helpdesk, email, live chat, and by phone.
  • Respond to customer inquiries, follow up on customer questions related to orders, and successfully solve problems through proactive follow-up on issues and effective de-escalation strategies.
  • Investigate and resolve customer damage and warranty inquiries
  • Discuss unique situations with the team and management by problem solving to find an optimal solution.
  • Act as an ambassador for Monte Design and become an expert on the Monte Design products (product training will be provided). Engage in self-directed learning.
  • Enter orders into Quickbooks
  • Various other data entry responsibilities
  • Fulfill fabric sample orders

Required:

  • Highly effective communication skills both written and spoken
  • Experience in customer service role or administrative role
  • University/college education or equivalent work experience
  • Attention to detail and data entry accuracy
  • Quickbooks and Shopify experience would be an asset

Compensation:

  • $22-24/hour, depending on experience
  • 24 hours a week at office location (Etobicoke), 3 full days a week
