We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our team. The HR Generalist will be responsible for managing various HR functions and providing support to employees across the organization. Management and employee training programs; Handle all administrative tasks for onboarding, new hire orientations, and exit interviews; including data entry into HRIS and audits for accuracy/compliance
· Provide a dedicated and effective advisory service to all staff that covers absence, performance, health issues, conduct and capability, grievances, organizational change and all other employee related matters
· Be the primary back up for payroll processing, including semimonthly updates to employee files, bonus/incentive pay, vacation/sick pay, vehicle allowances and benefits changes
· Active involvement in the Health & Safety Committee including processing any Worksafe/WCB claims
· Maintains technical knowledge and up-to-date information on changes in Employment Standards and Canadian employment law
· Assists in the communication, interpretation and upkeep of the employee guide, employee directory and contribute to policy development and implementation

Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in Human Resources, business or directly related field
· Payroll processing experience is preferred
· Familiarity with HR software (Workforce Now) and intermediate MS Office/Excel skills
· Strong recruitment skills
· Proven success working in an HR Department
· A passion for helping people fulfil their goals
· thorough knowledge of HR procedures and policies
· An out of the box HR environment where you are apart of strategic planning, training, coaching, mentoring, health and safety and all facets of HR including payroll
