As a crucial member of our administrative team, the File Opening Technician will play a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity of our client database, ensuring accurate file openings, managing essential conflict checks, meticulously ensuring the completeness of client information, collaborating with the accounts receivable team for accurate financial records, and handling filing clerk responsibilities. The ideal candidate should possess excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of legal nomenclature.


Client Database and Records Management
digital files and data.
retrieving data and files on an as-needed basis.
and analyze client information, paying special attention to details such as contact information, addresses, billing emails, etc.
any duplications or discrepancies in nomenclature, ensuring a comprehensive and accurate client database.

the file opening system, with a particular focus on the completeness of information entered, including contact details, addresses, billing information, etc.
with Lawyers, Legal Assistants and the others to open new matters as part of New Business Intake
Collaboration with Accounts Receivable
closely with the accounts receivable team to ensure accurate client statements of account.
on client groupings to align with accurate billing and financial reporting.
in the development and implementation of filing protocols to enhance efficiency.

years working in a legal environment in a conflict role capacity preferred
with legal nomenclature and terminology, an asset
