Brass Token is a boutique game development studio based in Vancouver, BC. We create original third person story-driven action games and we are also engaged in exciting AAA co-development projects.
We’re growing our all-star team and looking for an experienced Technical Artist.

Led by proven AAA veterans with critical and commercial success, our vision is to be a premiere developer of story driven action games. In pursuit of our goals, we draw on extensive experience while also constantly exploring new approaches to game development.

Some of us work remotely, others from our studio. We are flexible and will work to accommodate an arrangement that best suits you. We are looking for a Senior 3D Artist who is passionate about pushing Unreal Engine to create realistic experiences in fantastic worlds. Create and/or modify high quality realistic 3D art assets that adhere to the game’s visual and creative direction.
Create or help lead the creation of concept art, storyboards and reference materials.
Work with an external marketing department to facilitate and create hero assets and key art for items like magazine covers and press kit packages.
Work with the Producer to determine appropriate use of outsourced art resources, in consideration of the company’s internal team capacity and game budget.
Help manage art outsourcers to provide feedback, determine opportunities for efficiencies and cost savings, and help integrate art assets into the engine.
Provide hands-on support to artist and engineers on asset performance and cross-platform optimization.
Play the game and provide feedback.
Collaborate with the entire team to make sure we all hit our deliverables on time and at a high level of quality.
Participate in art asset reviews for quality and continuity to support the overall artistic vision.
Play the game regularly and provide feedback and suggestions to the team as both a gamer and a developer.

Must have shipped at least one successful AAA videogame or equivalent real-time media project in a leadership role.
Expert experience with Maya and Photoshop. 
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a passion for working with others both remotely and in person.
A strong sense of initiative to work and lead through a remote setting.

Experience with Substance Painter, Quixel Megscans, and Marvelous Designer is an asset.
Strong illustration and storyboard abilities are an asset.
