Community Impact and Programs
Full-Time
Reporting to the Community Impact Centre Manager, this position is responsible for the implementation and development of the programs at a Community Impact Centre. This role will support other Community Impact Centre programs as needed.
Position Type: Full time, Permanent
Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:00 a.m. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Community Impact Centre
Develop, facilitate, and implement programs that support and nurture the community in and around the Community Impact Centre
Ensure that all employees and volunteers have the appropriate training for the programs they are involved in
Provide leadership and direction to employees and volunteers, when applicable
Collaborate with Community Impact Centre Manager to create and monitor budget costs related to programs
Collect data and generate reports on statistics as required
Develop Key Performance Indicators and assessment tools for various programs and ensure that these are recorded/met.
Abide by all Health and Safety protocols and procedures (E.g. incident reports, near misses), and mandatory training courses (NVCI, safeTalk, First Aid)
An undergraduate degree in Social Work or related field or equivalent level of experience
Minimum of 3 years’ experience working in community development initiatives
Knowledge within the field of community development and community resilience initiatives
Experienced with developing and encouraging staff to come up with creative solutions to complex challenges and problem
Effective meeting facilitation skills as well as multi-tasking and administrative skills
Well-developed organizational, time management, oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Demonstrated effective conflict management and networking skills
Intermediate computer skills in Microsoft Office Suite
A valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle with a minimum of $2,000,000 liability insurance.
The position requires a flexible schedule with some shifts occurring in the evening or on weekends; On-call shifts may be required
