SALARY: $37.82 - $38.20

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) to join our CCC unit. In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and contributing to the overall health and well-being of our patients.

WHAT YOU MUST HAVE:
Registered Practical Nurse, currently registered and in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario practicing at full scope
Current BLS certification
Recent experience in physical assessments, IV medication administration, administration of blood and blood products, catheterization, chest and respiratory assessment
Problem solving, critical thinking, decision making, and conflict resolution skills
Knowledge and commitment to patient and staff safety along with the practice of Patient and Family Centered Care Principles
Ability to adapt and work within a constantly changing environment
Basic computer skills (Outlook, Cerner, etc.)
Ability to meet the physical demands of essential duties of the position
Excellent attendance record with commitment to meet the hours of work required by the Collective Agreement
Acceptable performance record in alignment with STEGH's Mission, Vision, Values and Code of Conduct
WHAT WE PREFER YOU TO HAVE:
One (1) year of experience as a RPN in a hospital setting within the last three (3) years (Continuing Care experience would be an additional asset)
Crisis Intervention Training, Palliative Care Fundamentals (Level 1), education in Geriatric Nursing
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
The RPN works at their full scope of practice to provide direct care to assigned patients. The RPN practices independently when the patient’s condition is less complex such that the outcome is predictable. The RPN collaborates with the Registered Nurse in patient situations that are beyond the RPN scope of practice.

HOURS:
Must be available for all tours required by the Hospital in accordance with the Collective Agreement.
