Business Systems Analyst

Our client, a top 5 banking client in Canada is looking for a Business Systems Analyst for an initial 6-month contract, with high possibility of extension/conversion.
**This role is hybrid with 2 days in the office**
The primary responsibility of the Business Systems Analyst is to perform analysis, design, implementation, modification, and daily functional support of all applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of system requirements and possess the ability to lead and manage the delivery of detailed technical and functional specifications.
Responsibilities:
- Plan, manage, and lead the delivery of detailed system requirements and technical and functional specifications in alignment with standards and frameworks.
- Provide technical leadership and collaborate closely with business and technology partners, project teams, and stakeholders to plan, elicit, analyze, document, communicate, and manage detailed functional specifications.
- Draft the initial Business Requirements Document (BRD) based on product requirements and manage updates based on technology and business feedback.
- Coordinate reviews and approvals from key stakeholders.
- Work with technology partners, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
- Possess knowledge and experience with deposits products and systems to facilitate accurate requirement gathering and analysis.
- Be available during the seed discovery phase to address any additional requirement updates that may arise.
- 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or Business Systems Analyst.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience working on Agile projects.
- Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline.
- 3+ years of experience as a Product Owner or in Agile-related delivery.
- Experience with Salesforce or Adobe platforms.
- Familiarity with Marketing Technology (martec) concepts and tools.
- Previous experience with IT (RBSS) projects would be highly desirable
