Legislative Services-Clerks 
1) Regular Full Time + (1) Contract Full Time; To work with elected officials, the community and staff to provide service excellence that supports accessible, effective governance and a thriving community.
Legislative Services acts as the official secretary to Regional Council, Committees and Peel Housing Corporation (Peel Living). These supports include: document certification, scheduling of all Council and Committee meetings, preparation and distribution of minutes, agendas and by-laws as well as correspondence to departments and other levels of government as a result of Council decisions. 
The Legislative Specialist will report to the Manager, Legislative Services and is responsible for day to day operational management of Regional Council and its Committees as a member of the Council Operations Team. 
Preparing complex, specialized and technical documentation, i.e., Administering various legislative requirements such as: attending meetings, recording minutes, preparing agendas, correspondence and other related matters for Regional Council
Facilitating training and presentations
Participating on various projects as required
Delivering effective adult-based training on the e-scribe application 
University degree in political science, public administration or related field, with progressive related municipal experience
Ability to review, comprehend and summarize complex documents, demonstrated report writing skills
Proficiency in MS Office, specifically Word, Excel, Power-Point and Outlook
Knowledge of local boards, special purpose bodies
Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion through continuous development, modeling inclusive behaviors, and proactively managing bias
Previous experience with project planning and delivery

~ In this role you will have the ability to work remotely and attend on-site when required based on operational requirements at the 10 Peel Centre Drive, Bramptonworksite. The frequency of on-site activities may vary on a weekly basis and based on operational requirements. Your remote work location must be located within the province of Ontario.
