Marketing Communications Specialist

Location: Oshawa, ON - Hybrid.

Contract Duration: 12 months

Summary:

  • The main function of a Marketing Communications Specialist is to support the central regional team in going to market effectively on a monthly basis.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Support the Regional Marketing Manager with execution of several monthly priorities in a timely manner
  • Work with multiple stakeholders across GM Canada in gathering information and sharing with key partners across the organization
  • Work with agency partners in reviewing several assets monthly and ensuring creative excellence
  • Lead the central region co-op program initiatives
  • Support dealerships with marketing questions
  • Provide support to District Managers regularly by reviewing data sets and finding actionable insights

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing
  • 0-5 years experience
  • A high level of interpersonal and written/oral communication skills
  • General understanding of marketing opportunities with a strong passion for finding new and creative ways to be effective in the marketplace
  • Strong project management skills in order to handle multiple projects, often times simultaneously, and meet deadlines
  • Ability to analyze complex situations and problems and do the necessary research using multiple sources of information to arrive at innovative solutions
  • Ability to create business solutions that increase competitive advantage

Education/Experience:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience required.
  • College degree or equivalent training preferred.
  • 8-10 years of experience required.
