Student Project Coordinator (8-month Co-op)

The Student Project Coordinator will be responsible for working with the Project Manager to ensure the participation of cross-functional stakeholders in furthering project goals. With organization and prioritization skills, this candidate will organize the necessary pieces to ensure project success.This 8-month Co-op will commence January 2023.
Monitor and co-ordinate activities with the client, subcontractors & other consultants.
Assist the project team with the initial mobilization and setup of the construction site.
Equipment tracking, monitor performance, provide feedback to the Project Manager.
Assist in the resolution of design issues, change requests, material defects and equipment problems.
Manage all project administration activities including payroll, timekeeping, labour coding, equipment coding, purchase-order coding and safety reporting.
Ensure compliance with Chandos health and safety training and reporting requirements.
Perform periodic field inspections of projects both prior to and during construction to determine compliance with approved plans and regulations at the request of inspectors.
Co-ordinate the permit process as assigned
Read, interpret and understand construction drawings and specifications, AHJ codes and ordinances regarding building codes, permit issuance and permit fees.
Track and review project proposals of change and change orders.

Travel to site and off-site locations is required.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, problem solving skills, and attention to detail
Ability to prioritize and multi-task
