About Feroot and the Role When companies trust websites with personal, payment or health information, invisible scripts are watching and opportunities for data breaches and bad actors abound. We make websites HIPAA compliant and secure. We do this all with AI agents that provide always-on protection and work quietly in the background, turning months of manual work into minutes.
So as the owner of the Feroot website and related properties, you'll be part of making the Internet safer.
You'll own Feroot's WordPress-based marketing website ) and related web properties, building a best-in-class web experience using a modern tech stack and AI-driven development tools. This is your chance to create a web property that stands out in a sea of generic cybersecurity sites, using cutting-edge approaches to performance, design, and user experience. You'll have ownership over the implementation, optimization, and evolution of the site, with the autonomy to experiment with new technologies and push what's possible with WordPress and front-end development. Building and maintaining the site:
Customize WordPress themes and plugins to meet design and functional requirements
Develop templates to keep the site aligned with Feroot's brand rules.
Optimizing for performance and security:
Optimize page load times, SEO, and user experience using Google PageSpeed Insights, Yoast SEO, and analytics
Implement security best practices including SSL certificates, secure hosting, WordPress security plugins to align with Feroot's cybersecurity zeitgeist
Conduct regular audits for web accessibility (WCAG) and data privacy compliance (GDPR, CCPA)
Partner with marketing and content teams to translate campaign goals into engaging web experiences
Collaborate with designers to implement brand-consistent assets using custom CSS, HTML, and JavaScript
Troubleshoot technical issues before they become problems
Using data to improve:
Track website performance using Search Console and other tools
Run A/B tests on pages and landing pages to optimize conversions
3+ years in web development, ideally in B2B tech, SaaS, or cybersecurity
~ WordPress expertise—theme customization, plugin management, custom post types
~ Strong front-end skills: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, responsive design
~ Experience with web optimization tools and analytics platforms
~ Familiarity with website security best practices and compliance standards
~ You've built websites for technical B2B audiences and made complex topics accessible
You have graphic design experience (Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) for creating web-ready assets
You've experimented with AI tools for content or web optimization (ChatGPT, Jasper) and know when they help vs. You know PHP and MySQL for advanced WordPress customizations
You've worked on cybersecurity, GRC, or compliance-focused websites
Work from our downtown Toronto office full-time
International travel may be required (U.Flexibility during peak project periods
Must be legally authorized to work in Canada and eligible for international travel authorization
Show us websites you've previously worked on. Specifically, show us how you used technology to make something complicated easier to understand, or where your optimization work had measurable impact on conversions or performance.
