As a Director of Tax you enjoy working within a collaborative environment and your goal is to ensure excellent service to our Partners and their clinic staff. This is a hybrid position based out of Dentalcorp’s Toronto Support Centre and reporting to the VP, Financial Reporting and Accounting Policy, the Director of Tax role is critical to Dentalcorp’s long-term growth ambitions.



Responsible for Canadian tax compliance and the principle contact for government tax audits.
Responsible for Canadian tax compliance and elections arising from all acquisitions.
Responsible for the Canadian quarterly and annual income tax provision and related note disclosures.
Responsible for complex tax issues.
Providing oversight of Canadian tax payments and estimates communicated to Treasury and overall responsible over Canadian tax accounts to ensure activity and balances are reconciled and appropriately reflect the Company’s tax position and status.
Ensure transfer pricing policies and documentation are current, consistently applied and in compliance with transfer pricing regulations.
Providing business analysis upon request including projections of future cash taxes.
Consistently monitor and evaluate the internal processes and guidelines to ensure efficiency and provide recommendations on optimizing and automating the tax function while minimizing tax risks.
Actively monitor, assess the impact of and respond to potential Canadian tax changes impacting the organizational structure.
Quality, accuracy, and timeliness of compliance work.
Building relationships at all levels across the business.
Understanding of the business and tax issues.
Post-secondary education in a related field and minimum of 8+ years work experience in Tax, dealing with complex tax issues and optimization projects.
Professional accounting designation CPA or CA required.
Hands on experience, comfort and interest with ERP Systems and BI Tools.
Able to manage competing priorities, meet deliverables while building relationships with colleagues.
Ability to manage multiple large complex projects.
