The role is responsible for providing guidance, direction and support to the Human Resources and Operations teams over various branches on matters relating to labour & employee relations, including but not limited to grievance management, training, implementation of collective agreements and general best practices. This position will also be responsible for general administration relating to labour relations matters and will ensure adherence to the Company’s policies and procedures.
Acts as the first point of contact for site HR and management team for all labour & employee relations matters
includes mandate development, preparation of materials, proposals, and collective agreement implementation
Track and analyze grievances for trends, potential issues with language; Generates grievance reports for regional management and senior leaders.
Participates in projects, providing labour relations support to a variety of stakeholder groups.
Supports the Labour and Employee Relations team with information and evidence gathering required to respond to various employee matters that arise, including HRTO cases, MOL complaints and disputes.
Post-secondary degree in business/human resources/industrial relations or an acceptable combination of education and experience
~ 3-5 years of Labour Relations experience in a unionized environment, with an emphasis on significant multi-site collective agreement locations.
~ Demonstrated ability to analyze data and interpret information
