New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company, is seeking a GIS Technologist / Analyst to help our client maintain and support enterprise GIS data used by multiple applications within an integrated application environment. Responsibilities:Spatial data editingSpatial alignment/gap analysis for various feature classesReview original CAD drawings for any updated informationRe-align existing features where necessary based on updated drawings and other base data such as:Parcel informationOrtho-imageryMunicipal utility base dataTerrain dataOther supporting dataTest and/or troubleshoot spatial analytical errors/functionality due to issues related to dataTest changes with various applications integrated with GISFeature class attribute editing:Attribute gap analysisWork with existing and any new methods/processesFill data gaps leveraging both spatial and non-spatial tools as necessaryTest and/or troubleshoot non-spatial errors related to integration touch points with other systemsTest changes with various applications integrated with GISOther GIS related workRequirements:10+ years of experience as a GIS Technologist/Analyst10+ years of experience working with Geospatial technologies with emphasis on analyzing and editing spatial data in an enterprise GIS environmentAdvanced working knowledge in the use of ESRI ArcGIS 10.8 + suite of products including ArcGIS Pro 2.8+ which may include server, desktop, web and mobile productsAbility to read and extract information from engineering drawingsKnowledge and experience using advanced analytical GIS tools for preparing linear data for complex application useExcellent organizational skillsProven GIS analytical and problem solving skills with the ability to quickly learn new concepts/processesProven ability to establish priorities and strong attention to detailIn addition, this position requires the ability to:Establish and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of internal contactsProvide advice and assistance on matters related to the workCommunicate effectively orally and in writingPerform assigned duties with minimal supervision, although direction will be givenMaintain confidentialityIf you have this expertise, and are able to work in Canada, please submit your resume.
