About The Role
As an Accounts Payable Associate, you will play a key role on our Finance Team with exposure to areas such as: operating and capital invoices, account reconciliations, and an enterprise level ERP system. The ideal candidate will be ready to take part in a fast-paced and exciting environment that is continuously growing
Role and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Keeping track of payments and expenditures, including data entry of invoices
- Preparation of Electronic funds transfer (EFT) and cheque batches for timely vendor payments
- Communicate with vendors and internal staff to resolve discrepancies in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain vendor and historical files
- Investigating variances with invoicing and reconcile vendor statements
- Administrative work related to filing, storage, and couriers
- Other finance related duties as required
Experience and Qualifications
- Working towards a Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in accounting, business administration or related field preferred and/or relevant work experience
- Previous experience with financial month-end close processes considered an asset but not essential
- Previous experience in a retail environment is considered an asset
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills required with proficiency in other MS Office Suite applications
- Previous experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is considered an asset
- Must be able to pass a basic security clearance
- Must have reliable transportation

- Excellent English oral and written communication skills

- Confident asking for clarification and meticulous about following-up on accountabilities
- Outstanding attention to detail and the ability to produce high quality work free of errors
- Uphold ethics, confidentiality, and demonstrate a high level of discretion at all times
- Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude.
