Job Title: Procurement Policy & Reporting Specialist (3-month Remote Contract)

Location: Remote

Job Description:

We are seeking a Procurement Policy & Reporting Specialist for a 3-month remote contract to start, with the possibility of extension. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with an Open Data quality review and cleanup, conducting a review of reporting procedures/processes, file audit, and other tasks as required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct a thorough review of reporting procedures/processes related to procurement.
  • Assist with an Open Data quality review and cleanup.
  • Perform file audits to ensure compliance with legislation, regulations, and Treasury Board policies impacting procurement.
  • Generate procurement reports for all federal government reporting requirements from SAP.
  • Develop and implement procurement reporting and procurement policy frameworks.
  • Ensure proactive publication of contracts, including Open Data reporting procedures.
  • Complete audit and quality assurance of procurement data and transactions.
  • Develop an audit and QA program for procurement data and transactions.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Previous experience in roles such as procurement policy manager preferred, but not required.
  • Knowledge and interpretation of legislation, regulations, and Treasury Board policies impacting procurement.
  • Experience in the creation of procurement reporting and procurement policy frameworks.
  • Familiarity with proactive publication of contracts, including Open Data reporting procedures.
  • Proficiency in generating procurement reports for federal government reporting requirements from SAP.
  • Experience in completing audit and quality assurance of procurement data and transactions.
  • Ability to develop an audit and QA program for procurement data and transactions.

Additional Requirements:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and SAP.
