Job Description
The House of Commons’ Parliamentary Precinct Operations is currently looking to staff the Refinisher (Furniture) position.
You will be responsible for refinishing furniture and applying stains, sealers, fillers, lacquers and other refinishing and restoration products on new and used furniture of the House of Commons, including heritage pieces. Duties include evaluating the condition and conservation value of furnishings of specific rooms of the House of Commons and inventoried furniture as well as providing on-site touch ups to meet the maintenance requirements of the House of Commons.

Education :
- Refinisher certificate or diploma in refinishing OR an acceptable combination of education, training, and relevant experience in the furniture refinishing field.
Experience :
- Experience in furniture refinishing, surface finish restoration and repair;
- Experience in colour matching, touch up techniques;
- Experience utilizing various types of furniture refinishing products
