We seek a detail-oriented, reliable, versatile, and flexible individual to join our team as a Logistic specialist. This role will be managing and maintaining accurate inventory levels within the warehouse. This multifaceted position requires a combination of organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in logistics to ensure seamless operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing inventory control, assisting with warehouse operations, and coordinating logistics activities.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the daily operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, organizing, and distributing goods.
- Use Excel to track inventory, create reports, and perform data analysis to support warehouse management.
- Ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment, including picking, packing, and shipping of products.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain inventory accuracy and conduct regular stock counts.
- Operate warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
- Lift and move heavy objects, following proper lifting techniques and safety guidelines.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate logistics, resolve discrepancies, and improve operational efficiency.
- Demonstrate proficiency in multiple areas and perform tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism and adaptability in various work environments.
- Continuously update knowledge and skills to effectively handle different roles within the company.
- Understand transportation and industry market conditions throughout North America;
seasonal vs. non-seasonal and communicate with the entire team issues that could impact operations. - Monitoring all inbound and outbound activities for 3PL warehouse
- Understanding of the trucking industry and knowledge of customs bond, customs documentation for trans-border movements.
- Responsible for the timely, accurate and appropriate escalation of issues.
- Work with analysts, managers, and customers to quickly resolve issues in the most efficient manner.
- Verifies and keeps records on all inventory adjustments, both incoming and outgoing.
- Investigates inventory discrepancies.
- Working with a variety of departments to ensure functioning operations.
- Other duties as required.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (additional education or relevant certifications are a plus).
Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics role is preferred.
1-2 years’ experience in a distribution, transportation and/or logistics environment is an asset.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data entry, formula creation, and report generation.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers and team members.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules.
