About the job

We are seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our FP&A team and support consolidated P&A oversight. Reporting to OpenTable's Manager of FP&A, this high-visibility role provides direct exposure to senior leadership in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. You will play a key role in leveraging data-driven insights to guide strategic decisions, optimize resource allocation, and enhance business performance across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the financial planning process-including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term planning-to deliver actionable insights for business performance.
  • Analyze key performance metrics, identify trends, and translate complex financial data into clear reports and executive dashboards for senior leadership.
  • Partner cross-functionally with teams like Marketing, Product, and Accounting to assess financial impacts, evaluate business opportunities, and optimize resources.
  • Build and maintain detailed financial models to evaluate return on investment for new products, growth initiatives, and market expansions.
  • Drive work streams for cross-functional strategic projects to ensure timely delivery and alignment with long-term company goals.
  • Identify opportunities to automate and optimize financial systems, reporting, and analysis to improve accuracy and scalability.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in financial planning & analysis (FP&A), corporate finance, investment banking, or management consulting.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in financial modeling and quantitative analysis using spreadsheet software (e.g., Google Sheets or Excel).
  • Proven track record of managing competing priorities and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting complex insights to leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with specialized financial planning software (e.g., Pigment or OneStream).
  • Proven ability to independently identify process inefficiencies and implement scalable solutions.
  • Experience leading cross-functional work streams and coordinating deliverables across multi-department teams.

The expected range of compensation for this position based in Toronto, Canada, is $88,000-$96,000 CAD. There are a variety of factors that go into determining a compensation range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required.
