Director of Operations

Commissionaires Hamilton is seeking qualified candidates to add to their senior management team as the Director of Operations. This dynamic role reports directly to the CEO and forms an integral component to the senior leadership of the organization.

Requirements:
  1. Education: A degree in criminal justice, security management, business management, or a related field is preferred, but not mandatory. Alternatively, a minimum of 5 years of relevant managerial experience in the security industry to offset this educational requirement. Formal accreditation in security operations through ASIS or IFPO preferred, but not mandatory.
  2. Experience: At least 5 years of experience in security operations management, law enforcement, or military service in a leadership role is essential. Strong understanding of current security technologies and trends, and proficiency in using software applications. Experience in the not-for-profit sector is preferred.
  3. Skill Set: Proven leadership skills, strong ethics, motivation, critical thinking, crisis management expertise, effective communication, team building, sales ability, collaboration, and technical knowledge.
Responsibilities:
  • Lead the Operations team in the day-to-day requirements of over 200 employees and 70+ client sites.
  • Negotiate contract revisions and renewals, create RFP responses, and serve as an escalation point for client support.
  • Conduct performance reviews, work closely with the CEO on strategic goals, and report on operational progress.
  • Occasional travel for organizational needs, after-hours support, and all other duties as required.
