We have an exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapist  to join our growing team for a Community Step Up Program  

Location:  Mississauga
Status: Contractor
Days: Tuesday-Friday

In this role you will:

  • The OT will be assigned a caseload based on the referrals received Home and Community and other Health Service providers across four different locations
  • Our OTs play a critical role in helping our Clients and Loved Ones maximize their functional abilities, provide strategies around activities of daily living, instrumental activities of daily living memory and cognitive functioning and perception.
  • Our OTs also provide education around home environment and modification and promoting independence and improved quality of life for both the Client and their Loved Ones.
  • Perform clinical evaluations, including admission assessments, ADL assessments, specialized seating and positioning assessment
  • Identification of appropriate equipment needs with initiation of recommendations
  • The OT will travel to specified work sites and will render OT therapy services when the program resumes in-person services.

Qualifications:

  • Registration with the Provincial Association of Occupational Therapists
  • Masters Degree in Occupational Therapy
  • Fully licensed and insured
  • Minimum 2 years experience with seniors in Long Term Care
  • Experience with mental health and addictions is a strong asset

We have gone above and beyond to ensure the safety of our patients and employees with PPE provided, the spacing of patients, screening, and more. Extensive safety protocols and procedures have been put into place and are mandatory.
