As part of Business Renewable Centre Canada (BRC-Canada), the Carbon Dioxide Removal (CDR) Centre team supports organizations purchasing carbon dioxide removal credits across Canada to reduce corporate emissions, and advocates for effective climate policies and regulatory improvements to enable CDR procurement.  

We would consider candidates based out of Ottawa or Vancouver, if they have an established network in the key areas listed.  
We’ll lean on you to conduct research and analysis in the field of CDR to ensure the Pembina Institute meets its goals to accelerate responsible development and corporate procurement of CDR in Canada. 
Produce high-quality resources that prospective buyers rely on to accelerate their transactions, including primers, communication materials, reports, presentations, webinars, briefing notes, and summaries of industry news and trends.  
Research and conduct CDR deal scanning and news in order to support the communications staff, to increase CDR awareness, and to generate content for the CDR newsletter and social media.  
Synthesize research and analysis to inform the development of policy positions and recommendations. 
You have the ability to dive deeply into complex topics, pay strong attention to detail and analyze different types of data. You are technologically savvy, demonstrating a high level of proficiency with software tools for data management and communication, including Microsoft 365. You are self-motivated and results-oriented, exhibiting commitment to sustainability and social change. Minimum of an undergraduate degree in engineering, sciences, business, economics, law, public policy, or a related field. A master's degree is an asset.  
Minimum of one year of related work experience in a professional environment, such as industry, government or the not-for-profit sector. A combination of work experience and education may be considered.  
Prior experience in corporate sustainability, climate tech or energy development is considered an asset. 
Experience with data analysis tools including Python or R is considered an asset. 
Within this range, individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, related experience, education and/or training, and internal equity.
