The Analyst will be responsible for analyzing, budgeting, reporting, and long-range planning for the Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) function. In this role, the selected candidate will support the development and achievement of the organization's goals and objectives by providing accurate, insightful, and timely finance support and analysis. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Corporate Strategy and Development, the Analyst will be involved in the annual strategic and business planning processes, will provide financial consulting and strategic support to corporate leadership, including identifying, researching, analyzing, and presenting critical business drivers and trends.

What You Get To Do:

  • Development and maintenance of complex long‐range strategic planning models in Excel including assisting with financial modeling and other analysis.Consolidation of financial information received from diverse lines of business.
  • Integration of climate and sustainability metrics into long range planning and screening processes.
  • Evaluate and stress test various strategic initiatives, financing alternatives and capital investment plans.
  • Work collaboratively with business leaders to obtain financial, ESG and sustainability information, coordinate financial/ sustainability analysis and conduct consolidation of the EnPower business unit Strategic and Business Plans.
  • Work collaboratively with functional groups (e.g. business development, accounting, operations) to ensure coordinated approach to the long‐range plan and appropriate operational, accounting, tax, sustainability and finance assumptions.
  • Utilize long‐range planning model(s) to conduct financial, scenario and sustainability analysis.
  • Prepare annual strategic and business planning reports and Board presentation(s).
  • Prepare presentations for internal and external stakeholders to communicate strategies.
  • Establish budgets and annual financial plans/projections consistent with company operations.
  • Analyze company's financial results with respect to profits, trends, costs and compliance with budgets. Issue regular status, KPIs, and ad hoc reports to senior management.
  • Develop depth in finance and operations to fully understand the scope of the business.
  • Understand the various lending agreements through which EnPower funds its growth initiatives.
  • Tracking and reporting of ongoing compliance requirements to lenders.

Who You Are:

  • A bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, or related discipline is required.
  • 5 - 7 years of relatable experience with core FP&A tools (PowerBI, Tableau)
  • 2+ years experience working in energy is preferred
  • Demonstrated knowledge of energy sectors and key trends shaping those sectors, including ESG and climate policy trends
  • Strong ability in developing economic evaluation methodologies, models and associated analysis combined with acute ability to articulate valuation findings
