Their portfolio consists of mixed-use residential, both concrete high-rise and mid-rise wood frame buildings, commercial design and smaller-scale infill projects. With the notion of the ever-changing environment, this studio puts sustainability at the forefront of every project in hopes of creating conscious designs that will complement and elevate their surroundings for years to come.
Offering full project exposure, this studio has been able to create a growth oriented environment for all staff, regardless of experience level. With an open concept collaborative office set-up, diverse ideas are able to thrive and each project's design is unique to the one before. Our client is looking for a full-time Job Captain with 5+ years of local experience in an architecture firm.
Prepare working drawings with BIM (Revit) or AutoCAD for projects
Responsible for the creation of technical content including details to the highest standard of excellence while ensuring the design intent is consistently maintained throughout the project
You will work closely with the Project Manager and coordinate with other staff members as well as coordinating all aspects of the project with the Mechanical, Electrical and Structural and other consultants
Assist with resolving difficult operating tasks or drawing production problems
Work with Contract Administration Department in processing project Shop Drawings and administrative paperwork

Diploma in Architectural Technology or a University Degree in Architecture or current AIBC member
Experience in the preparation of DD and CD documentation for a range of projects including wood frame multifamily residential, medium to large scale buildings and master planning
Strong skills in Revit & AutoCAD
Experience or willingness to lead a project from schematics all the way through contract administration
Intermediate-high level of project management experience in the design and/or construction industry required
Experience in working in a collaborative environment to develop project documentation on complex projects
Strong leadership and relationship building skills
Strong project coordination experience and ability to manage competing deadlines
Understanding of sustainable design, including LEED, BC Energy Step Code, BC Building Code and Bylaws
Have experience in coordinating building systems and resolving technical issues in all phases of the design process
