Your strong logistics or warehouse management background has educated you on best in class shipping, receiving and inventory management processes, and you’re comfortable working with and managing large teams, and communicating with all layers of the organization.You will work closely with the production team and Director of Operations to manage and optimize the operations of Colourific’s logistics department.Reports to:Director of OperationsCultural Responsibilities:Treating all team members with respectCooperating with other team members and managementSupporting Colourific’s “One Team” mantraMaintain open dialogue with management to improve health, safety, and operational standards within the facilityGeneral Responsibilities:Coming to work each day at the required timeCompleting work to the best of their abilityProviding help as requested, even outside of their specific job functionAbiding by company policies and procedures at all timesKeeping work area clean and free of debrisPrioritizing safety in your actions and workspace conditionAdvising management when aware of contraventions of Health and SafetyJob Specific Responsibilities:Monitor the performance of the shipping department and logistics KPI’s and provide daily feedback to the management teamManage and supervise logistics team members using a lean manufacturing + Kaizen frameworkPlay a key role in the hiring, training, and performance management of logistics team members with weekly accountability for training and performance managementActive participation in daily and weekly production meetingsLeverage continuous improvement experience towards production and logistics processesOversee warehouse layout and Inventory Management System to ensure the accurate tracking of materials throughout the facilityCommunicate with customers and vendors to resolve discrepancies or issuesCoordinate with Production Supervisors to ensure efficient turnaround time of material in houseCoordinate with maintenance team all preventative maintenance required for forkliftsCoordinate with drivers the continuous forklift usage best practises and enforce proper and safe operation of equipment on daily basisRequirements:10+ years of logistics or supply chain management experience5+ years of logistics or supply chain management leadership experienceCapability and appetite to design and build a world class logistics and shipping functionSCMP designation is considered an assetStrong experience in Lean material management and inventory management
