JOB TITLE: Regional Heavy Equipment Technician

POSITION TYPE: Permanent – Full Time

BRANCH: Grimshaw AB

REPORTING TO: Regional Aftermarket Service Manager

The largest independent dealer of Case IH and Case Construction equipment in Canada, RME consists of 45 construction and agricultural equipment branches across Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba. Job Duties and Responsibilities Include:
  1. Safety is your responsibility
  2. Directed to help and support branches within the region by the RASM
  3. Interact with Branch staff, Customers, and Management as one of the safety champions
  4. Assist local branch as required depending on local branch leadership structure
  5. Recondition and repair all equipment components and systems as assigned by local branch leadership at Customer location or designated shop locations
  6. Maintain good working records for time, parts, supplies, and outside purchases in repairs
  7. Maintain and care for shop tools, equipment, and vehicles
  8. Communicate with others professionally, internally and externally
  9. Order all parts and materials required to perform assigned repairs utilizing local parts departments
  10. Maintain all work area in a clean and safe condition
  11. Maintain an exceptional high level of customer and branch satisfaction
  12. Work with RASM, SM, and Foreman to identify and mitigate challenges and areas for improvement in the local area and build Customer base and trust
  13. When Regional work is not available, will work out of assigned local RME shop location, traveling on own time
  14. Maintain assigned field service truck so that it's ready to go when our customers require timely service
  15. Travel to non-home branch will be paid time, expense for Non-Home branch support will be billed to Allocated Branch
  16. IDP and ADP completed by the RASM
  17. This role is a Regional Support role, to assist all branches within the Region specifically but may be called upon to assist other regions and Provinces as workload and conditions present themselves
Job Requirements and Qualifications Include:
  1. Strong technical skills
  2. Completion of a formal apprenticeship program preferred
  3. Understanding of the agriculture and/or construction industry
  4. Understanding and demonstrated use of health and safety best practices
  5. Knowledge of Case IH, Case CE, and New Holland Equipment is an asset
