Process/Project Engineer
Our client is a growing consulting engineering firm based in Ontario and Quebec. They are currently looking to expand their engineering team by adding a Process/Project Engineer, on permanent basis. In this role you will support multi-disciplined engineering designs to the industrial and commercial sectors.
Produce the necessary design deliverables for the completion of chemical and industrial projects.
# Produce designs, studies, cost estimates, tender documents and technical reports.
# Provide project coordination.
# Define scope, project objectives with clients and prepare proposals.
# Liaise with clients on technical requirements and project timelines.
# Produce project deliverables including scope definition, process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams.
# Perform detailed calculations for mass and energy balances, pipe and pump sizing, and equipment sizing.
# Prepare equipment technical specifications and make recommendations and selections based on project requirements.
# Prepare specification and tender packages for vendors and contractor quotation.
# Work with CAD technicians to produce construction and installation drawing packages.
# Coordinate equipment procurement Field work for commissioning and project support.

University degree in Chemical Engineering and 5+ years demonstrated work experience in industrial process design.
Proficient with Microsoft suite of programs (Word, Excel, Office, Project).
Understanding of instrumentation and PLC systems.
Proficiency in French an asset (but not required).
Valid drivers license.
