The Work:The Communications Specialist is responsible for creating effective communication strategies and will work closely with teams across the organization from Human Resources, Sales, Claims, Technology and others to help develop the LGM brand voice and enhance awareness of what we do in the Canadian automotive industry. Work will be innovative and rewarding, catering to both internal and external target audiences. The Job: The Communications Specialist plays an important role in developing and executing communications to enhance our brand presence, engage with our audience, and support our business objectives. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent writing skills, creativity, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities: Communications development and execution: Develop, research and write internal and external communications, and key messages for all communication materials in all media formats – print, blog, corporate sites, intranet, internal/external memos, social media, videos and presentations. Research and create engaging, culture-driven stories/content for use on LGM’s internal properties. Develop and execute content marketing strategies designed to engage existing partners and acquire new ones. Monitor and report back on KPIs to project stakeholder, making recommendations for improvement and demonstrating lessons learned for future growth. Ensure proper process is followed to achieve desired results and minimize inefficiency, recommending opportunities for improvement when/where applicable. Corporate Profile: Act as brand steward for branded properties (e.g., LGM.ca, press releases, social media) to ensure all communications are consistent with the brand’s tone/voice. Monitor digital presence (e.g., Google reviews, LinkedIn inquiries) and manage online feedback, ensuring responses are timely and effective. Required Skills: Exemplary oral and written communications skills including writing, editing and proofreading. Ability to work independently on a broad scope of projects; strong organizational skills and ability to handle competing project priorities with shifting deadlines and deliverables. Team player, able to work collaboratively at all levels of the organization and with external stakeholders. Excellent organizational, planning, influencing and follow-up skills. Comfortable executing on a wide variety of communication tactics including social media, Impeccable attention to detail. Confident presenter and speaker. Education: Completion of a university degree or the equivalent in a related field such as communications, journalism, or similar. Experience: 5+ years' experience in organizational communications, developing and executing strategic communication plans.
