Executive Leadership Role

Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned Public Relations Manager to lead our client service team and drive the development of innovative communications strategies that shape the future of our clients' businesses.

About the Role:

As the Head of Communications & PR, you will be responsible for:

  • Developing a deep understanding of each client's business context and leveraging this to craft tailored, effective communications strategies
  • Leading the execution of integrated marketing communications with a focus on earned-first storytelling and a digital always-on approach
  • Delivering top-tier client services with the ability to counsel and interact effectively with senior management at client organizations
  • Mentoring, coaching, and supporting team members to drive their development and hold them accountable to performance standards
  • Effectively managing team utilization and maintaining financial responsibility for accounts to meet agency profitability targets

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 7+ years of experience in PR or Communications, ideally in an agency setting, with a proven track record in developing and executing successful communications plans
  • Strategic thinking and creative problem-solving skills to drive innovative communications strategies
  • Expertise in project management with experience managing client budgets and allocating resources effectively
  • In-depth knowledge of the Canadian and International media landscape, including traditional and digital media
  • Experience in planning and managing high-profile press, influencer, and KOL events
  • Proven success in providing creative and strategic counsel to clients, building credibility with senior-level contacts
  • Business acumen and experience in new business development and driving organic growth within existing accounts
