As a Learning Specialist in the Programmes de compétences essentielles (PCE), you will work with a dynamic team to help high school students acquire the skills they need to succeed in their life and career plans.
The successful candidate must be familiar with current research on best practices in career education, effective transition, comprehensive and academic guidance, personalized learning and support for students with diverse needs. The incumbent will also need to communicate with EECD's Francophone sector, the Department of Post-Secondary Education, Training and Labour (PETL), school districts and staff of post-secondary institutions, as well as with community partners and stakeholders, offer advice on high-yield instructional practices for students with diverse needs, and organize professional development workshops, where appropriate, on the above-mentioned new programs they are responsible for developing as part of the pilot project and implementation phase.
Day-to-day work will involve supervising the activities of the PCE/PCEMT programs, designing and delivering training courses for teachers, collaborating with our institutional partners, and participating in the development of new educational programs, among other things.
Design and deliver training courses for teachers and school administrators responsible for PCE (PCR)/PCEMT (PCRMT).
Manage PCRMT and PCR pilot projects in participating schools and provide support and training for teachers involved.
Contribute to the implementation of PCR and PCRMT.
Cooperate on various files and projects related to experiential learning.
We are looking for someone who is passionate about education and committed to helping high school students reach their full potential. You are creative in designing training courses and are able to manage successful pilot projects. 12 public education system OR a bachelor's degree in Education and a minimum of seven (7) years' related experience.
An equivalent combination of education, training and experience may be considered.
Knowledge of spoken and written French is required. Please specify your language skills.
