Position Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Engineer to focus on developing creative, safe, and compliant solutions for roof top safety. This role is responsible for the successful and timely completion of engineering projects which support sales and customer success through development of products and solutions that are cost effective and efficient to manufacture and install.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide direction on design ensuring that projects meet all applicable codes, regulations, standards and manufacturing specifications for welding steel and aluminum.
  • Review and update existing products to improve ease of use, shipping and installation, maintenance while reducing costs and achieving operational efficiencies as required.
  • Develop new products from concept to final product considering how the product will be shipped, installed, and maintained.
  • Develop and/or update product manuals as required.
  • Ensure projects are completed according to schedule with all required documentation, part numbers, and drawings.
  • Participate in discussions with customers to offer engineered design solutions for custom orders.
  • Review project drawings to ensure they are structurally sound and compliant with all applicable regulations, industry codes, and standards.
  • Ensure that any product specifications for the use of alternate materials meet applicable regulations, industry codes and standards.
  • Ensure that all project drawings follow internal standards for consistency and fabrication execution.
  • Maintain current knowledge of regulations, industry codes and standards, and safety best practices for all jurisdictions where Skyline Group’s customers are located.
  • Manage blue book technical documentation, ensuring that it is reviewed and updated a minimum of once per year and that required employees are Bluebook trained.
  • Maintain Skyline Group’s technical documentation including administration of the CAD vault and drawing templates.
  • Approve all technical language used in product documentation, marketing copy, manuals, etc.

Job Type: Full-time, permanent

Salary: $80,000.00-$120,000.00 per year

Aperçu du poste :

Nous recherchons un ingénieur senior pour se concentrer sur le développement de solutions créatives, sûres et conformes pour la sécurité des toits. Le titulaire du poste est chargé de mener à bien, dans les délais impartis, des projets d'ingénierie qui soutiennent les ventes et la réussite des clients grâce au développement de produits et de solutions rentables et efficaces en termes de fabrication et d'installation.

Principales responsabilités

  • Fournir des orientations en matière de conception en veillant à ce que les projets soient conformes à l'ensemble des codes, réglementations et normes applicables ainsi qu'aux spécifications de fabrication pour le soudage de l'acier et de l'aluminium.
  • Examiner et mettre à jour les produits existants afin d'en améliorer la facilité d'utilisation, l'expédition et l'installation, la maintenance, tout en réduisant les coûts et en réalisant des gains d'efficacité opérationnelle, le cas échéant.
  • Développer de nouveaux produits, du concept au produit final, en tenant compte de la manière dont le produit sera expédié, installé et entretenu.
  • Élaborer et/ou mettre à jour les manuels des produits, le cas échéant.
  • Veiller à ce que les projets soient menés à bien dans les délais prévus, avec toute la documentation, les numéros de pièces et les dessins requis.
  • Participer aux discussions avec les clients afin de proposer des solutions de conception technique pour les commandes personnalisées.
  • Examiner les dessins des projets pour s'assurer qu'ils sont structurellement sains et conformes à toutes les réglementations, codes industriels et normes applicables.
  • Veiller à ce que les spécifications des produits concernant l'utilisation de matériaux de substitution soient conformes aux réglementations, codes et normes industriels en vigueur.
  • Veiller à ce que tous les dessins de projet respectent les normes internes en matière de cohérence et d'exécution de la fabrication.
  • Maintenir une connaissance actualisée des réglementations, des codes et des normes de l'industrie, ainsi que des meilleures pratiques en matière de sécurité dans toutes les juridictions où se trouvent les clients du Skyline Group.
  • Gérer la documentation technique du livre bleu, en veillant à ce qu'elle soit révisée et mise à jour au moins une fois par an et à ce que les employés concernés soient formés au livre bleu.
  • Maintenir la documentation technique du groupe Skyline, y compris l'administration du coffre-fort CAO et des modèles de dessins.
  • Approuver tout le langage technique utilisé dans la documentation des produits, les textes de marketing, les manuels, etc.
