Bunzl Safety Canada is seeking a dynamic and analytical Business Analyst to join our Safety Division. As a Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in driving business insights and decision-making through data analytics, visualization, and reporting. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with a leading provider of workplace safety solutions and contribute to the company's continued growth and success.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze complex data sets to identify trends, patterns, and insights relevant to business performance and opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and reports using Power BI and other data visualization tools to provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and translate them into analytical solutions.
  • Conduct data mining and modeling to support forecasting, planning, and strategic initiatives.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, to create comprehensive reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide ad-hoc analysis and support to various departments within the organization.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity by implementing quality control measures and conducting regular audits.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in business analytics and technology.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
  • 2-5 years of experience in a business analyst role or related co-op/internship experience.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, including statistical methods, data mining, and modeling.
  • Strong skills in data visualization and dashboarding tools, particularly Power BI.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, with expertise in Excel for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Experience working with Infor ERP or similar enterprise resource planning systems is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively present complex information to diverse audiences.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and precision in data analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
