Food and Beverage Manager

Position Summary:

The Hotel Food and Beverage Manager will be responsible for the supervision and control of the hotel outlets and required to follow all standards within agreed budgetary limits. Areas of responsibility will include strategic planning and sustainable growth of the department’s revenues.

Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and record inventory, and if necessary, order new supplies
  • Train employees to meet restaurant and catering standards
  • Adhere to and implement sanitation regulations and safety regulations
  • Organize, direct, and evaluate food and beverage service in outlets
  • Establish and achieve quality and guest satisfaction goals
  • Address customer complaints in a timely fashion
  • Provide strategic planning for the growth of the department
  • Monitor fiscal activity for both revenues and expenses and provide required reporting
  • Provide marketing ideas for the outlets
  • Ensure staffing levels are correct and labor costs are controlled
  • Negotiate supplier arrangements for food and beverage products
  • Ensure the efficient running of the restaurants and banquet facilities
  • Ensure that inventory is measured on a regular basis

Requirements:

  • Graduate of a recognized hospitality culinary school preferred or equivalent work experience
  • A minimum of 3 years experience in a similar role, hotel management preferred
  • Able to work weekends and evenings
  • Good understanding of MS Office and restaurant/hotel software programs
  • Ability to speak both official languages is considered an asset
  • Teamwork-oriented with outstanding leadership abilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
