A Millwright Apprentice is responsible for working with industrial machinery to ensure it is installed, repaired, and maintained properly. Going to customers facilities and upholding the company’s image/brand in a respectable and professional demeanor. As a Millwright Apprentice/General Labourer you are a key point in assisting the team, learning, and developing skills to proceed towards writing the C of Q Millwright exam. It is crucial that our Millwright Apprentice promote a positive company image through safety, quality, consistency, and professionalism.
Use proper/safe procedures when operating any equipment in the shop or on the job site.
Ability to work weekends and overtime as required
Always conduct oneself in a professional manner in alignment with Company values, including but not limited to language use, attire, and workmanship
In accordance with Company policy and relevant employment legislation, overtime and work outside of regular hours, and being on call may be required at the discretion of the company
The road crew vehicle is the millwright’s access to tools and equipment, as well as transportation to and from job sites. The following tasks to be performed by the Millwright Apprentice employee.
Maintain stock in vehicles (welding rods, grinding/cutting disks, nuts/bolts, silicone, compressed gases, etc.)

Every morning before departure for the job site there are duties to perform. The Millwright Apprentice employee to assist with these duties:

Load any small parts needed for the job site into the vehicle
Job Site Responsibilities
On the job site the Millwright Apprentice employee has several key responsibilities.

Assist with keeping job site clean/organized
Perform cutting, grinding, welding duties, as required
Assist Foreman/lead hands in rigging equipment
Assembly of equipment
The Millwright Apprentice employee is in the beginning stage. Tri-Mach requires that these employees focus on learning and improving skills in the following areas:

Welding (SMAW, GTAW) in preparation for CWB testing (flat, horizontal, vertical, overhead)
Proper assembly and installation (bearings, motors, gear boxes, pulleys, equipment)

Currently pursing Millwright License or aspiring to
Millwright experience/schooling considered a strong asset
Use proper/safe procedures when operating any equipment in the shop or on the job site.
Do not operate equipment for which you are not licensed
