Maple Ridge BC, Canada Citadel Roofing & Building Maintenance Full time

Citadel Roofing & Building Maintenance is a fast-growing roofing company, providing quality roofing for commercial and residential buildings throughout the lower mainland and we are currently looking for an ROOFING PROJECT ESTIMATOR/PROJECT MANAGER .

Responsibilities:

  • Provide fast, accurate, all-encompassing pricing for all roofing projects.
  • Assess & determine roof types, estimated ages, current or potential short/long term issues.
  • Attending new construction, re-roofing, roof service and maintenance tender site meetings and working with building owners, tenants, membrane technical representatives and consultants.
  • Assembling detailed roof replacement quotations and budget presentation reports.
  • Review drawings, specifications and plans to determine scope of work
  • Prepare estimates for labour, material and equipment costs using quantity take-off procedures
  • Organize and prepare project start-ups to include timelines, order materials, and manage the project from start to finish.
  • Continual and proactive communication with clients, consultants & engineers throughout the bidding portion of potential projects.
  • Prepare estimates and bid submissions
  • Negotiate contracts with clients
  • Coordinate and consult with engineers, architects, contractors etc.
  • Functionally design a theoretical roof system for various buildings and environments.
  • Partake in the acquisition of adding field workers to join the team.

Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years experience in roofing project estimating for residential and commercial, slope and flat roofing systems.
  • Working knowledge of various flat roofing systems: e.g. TPO, PVC, BUR, SBS, EPDM etc.
  • Previous experience with roofing system installation.
  • Experienced in blue print reading and takeoffs
  • Knowledge of Architectural, Structural, Mechanical plans and details an asset.
  • Experience in job costing, job tracking and job purchasing
  • Fire Safety, torch safety, distinguish and identify creative appropriate and sufficient in the moment alternative waterproofing concepts in the face of unforeseen events.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word Excel, etc.)
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Must be a self-motivated person with the ability to work at fast paced professional level.
  • Strong communication skills, written and verbal with ability to effectively present information one-on-one to clients, consultants, and other employees within the company as needed.
  • Ability to understand and carry out instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form and deal with problems in a creative manner. Must be a problem solver.
  • Valid BC driver’s license with clean abstract.
  • TQ or Red Seal an asset.
