Forbes Marshall is seeking a dynamic and driven Field Sales Engineer to join our Canada operations. The right candidate brings a passion for building strong relationships with our customers and sound technical and commercial knowledge of customer manufacturing processes and the use of steam in these processes. An individual with great communication skills and the ability to drive the team towards achievement of set targets in an organized and systematic manner.

ABOUT YOUR ROLE

You will be actively involved in developing and implementing the Steam Engineering sales strategy to ensure sustained growth, developing new business opportunities in the Greater Toronto Area and will act as a technical expert for this product portfolio. You will be reporting to the Country Head.

KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and prepare business proposals, stimulate sales growth by building relationships with new customers after studying the customer’s existing steam plant and making recommendations to improve the efficiency, reliability and uptime of the plant
  • Establishing partnerships with customers to better their needs and provide them with advisory technical solutions exceeding customer expectations through value added services
  • Identify, qualify, exploit and maintain a volume of business opportunities sufficient to reach organizational objectives regarding orders and targets
  • Efficiently anticipate and evaluate the needs of the client to provide productive consultations
  • Maintain a specific sales volume in the Sales Management System (and other internal systems and tools) and create forecasts and gap closing measures
  • Remain abreast of industry changes and obtain membership to industrial and professional associations while continuously seeking to improve sales techniques and knowledge

DESIRED CANDIDATE PROFILE

  • Degree in Engineering with relevant work experience in the Steam Systems business.
  • 3 to 5 Years in the relevant industries.

KEY SKILLS

  • Industrial sales experience to the Food and Beverage, Dairy, Brewery and Pharmaceutical Industries.
  • Knowledge of Steam system engineering and Steam system accessories.
  • Should be open to travel across Greater Toronto Area in Toronto and the regional municipalities of Durham, Halton, Peel, and York.
